Science in the Bush at Jenolan Caves

Venue: Jenolan Caves

Start off the day of discovery with an introductory talk and tour of the caves, focusing on the geology, geomorphology and hydrology of cave systems. Students will also hear about careers in karst science and the importance of karst science.

All students have the opportunity to take part in hands on workshops. Students will experience practical methods used by scientists to examine processes of cave formation including hydrology and chemistry. Students will then be taken on a guided karst walk to examine the relationships between the surface and subsurface features.
